How we handle your data

Last updated: 16 June 2026

TL;DR

  • We collect the contact details you give us — name, email, organisation, and what you tell us — when you enquire or sign up for updates.
  • We use them to reply to you and send updates you’ve asked for, and to improve our website. Nothing more.
  • We don’t sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run (email, CRM, hosting, analytics), under contract.
  • You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data at any time — email privacy@inferfoundry.ai.
  • You have full UK GDPR rights (access, correction, deletion, objection) and can complain to the ICO.

What this notice covers

This notice explains how we handle personal data we collect through our website and our early marketing and sales activity — principally the contact details of people who enquire about InferFoundry, sign up for updates, or speak with us about our services. It does not cover the handling of customer data within our inference platform, which is governed separately by the terms of any customer agreement.

What we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum we need. Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details — name, email address, employer or organisation, job title, and any phone number you give us.
  • The content of your enquiry — what you tell us when you contact us, request a demo, or sign up for updates.
  • Basic technical and usage data — for example your IP address and limited analytics about how our website is used, where this is collected (see Cookies and analytics below).

We do not seek to collect any special category data (such as health, ethnicity or political opinions), and we ask that you do not send it to us.

How we use it, and our lawful basis

We use this personal data to:

  • respond to your enquiry and stay in touch about it — lawful basis: legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract;
  • send you occasional updates about InferFoundry where you have asked to receive them, or where you are a relevant business contact — lawful basis: consent, or legitimate interests for business-to-business marketing;
  • understand and improve how our website performs — lawful basis: legitimate interests, and your consent where required for non-essential cookies;
  • meet our legal and regulatory obligations — lawful basis: legal obligation.

Where we rely on consent (for example, marketing emails), you can withdraw it at any time — every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered your rights and will stop if you object and there is no overriding reason to continue.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers (processors) who help us operate — for example our website host, email and CRM tools, and analytics providers. They act on our instructions under contract and may only use the data to provide their service to us.
  • Professional advisers and authorities where we are required to by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.

A current list of the main processors we use is available on request from privacy@inferfoundry.ai, and the principal services we rely on are listed in our Trust Centre.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where they do, we rely on an appropriate safeguard recognised under UK data-protection law — such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement (or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) — so that your data remains protected.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it:

  • Enquiries that don’t progress — typically up to 12–24 months from our last contact, then deleted.
  • Marketing contacts — until you unsubscribe or ask us to stop, after which we keep a minimal record to honour your preference.
  • Server access logs — up to 90 days, then deleted automatically (see Cookies and analytics below).
  • Records we must keep by law — for the period the relevant law requires.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies are needed for the site to work. Any non-essential cookies (for example analytics) are only set with your consent, which you can manage or withdraw at any time.

Separately, our hosting provider (Amazon CloudFront) keeps standard server access logs — your IP address, the pages you request, your browser type and approximate country — which we use for security and aggregate site statistics — lawful basis: legitimate interests. These logs are kept for up to 90 days and involve no cookies or tracking scripts.

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or complete it if it is incomplete;
  • ask us to delete it, or to restrict or object to how we use it, in certain circumstances;
  • ask us to provide it in a portable format, where applicable;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@inferfoundry.ai. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, although we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as InferFoundry grows or as our data handling changes. We will post the updated version here and change the “last updated” date above.
